Job Title: Light Ends / Distillates Originator

Location: London - full time in the office
Job Objective:
This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive business growth and make a significant impact within the company's commodity trading operations.
The Light Ends / Distillates Originator will collaborate closely with local and global Business Development Teams and Trading desks to identify and develop business opportunities for the company. The primary focus will be on expanding existing market activities and exploring new strategic areas within the ARA, Mediterranean, and Europe regions. Through rigorous market analysis, networking, and engagement with industry stakeholders, the goal is to align opportunities with the company's vision and strategic goals, driving optimal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, propose, and cultivate business opportunities within current markets or new territories to enhance volume and economic returns.
Conduct comprehensive economic analyses and feasibility studies for potential ventures.
Develop market strategies and implementation plans aligned with strategic objectives.
Provide innovative solutions to maximize value from business opportunities.
Foster collaboration across various desks and functions within an open and collaborative environment.
Evaluate and implement risk management strategies to mitigate exposure in transactions.
Lead term sheet and contract negotiations in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Stay informed about hydrocarbon market trends, policies, and geopolitical factors.
Cultivate and maintain industry relationships to maximize counter-party coverage.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Significant experience in the hydrocarbon industry, with expertise in marketing, refining, and physical oil trading.
Proven track record of originating, structuring, executing, and managing profitable transactions.
Familiarity with transactional structures, including Structured Trade Finance solutions and supply agreements.
In-depth understanding of hydrocarbon market dynamics, policies, and geopolitical factors.
Knowledge of oil specifications, freight, and logistical infrastructure.
Project management experience across diverse functions.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills for effective communication and collaboration.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
Highly numerate with strong commercial acumen.
