Library Operative

• Hourly Rate: £13.85 (PAYE)
• Location: Euston, London
• Job Type: Temporary Ongoing
• Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Saturday (with a weekday off)

We are seeking 5 proactive and physically fit Library Operatives to join our team in a busy library environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical activities and can handle tasks such as lifting, walking, and occasional climbing.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Shelving books and ensuring everything is neat and organised.
• Retrieving books from various sections, which may involve using ladders or kick stools.
• Pushing trolleys loaded with books around the library.
• Assisting in setting up displays and rearranging library furniture.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
• Handling any additional tasks assigned by library management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Physically fit – capable of lifting, bending, and extensive walking.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus but not essential.
