Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant

Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with an Ofsted rated "Good" school in Runcorn as they are looking for a level 3 qualified teaching assistant to support them in the reception class. This is a long-term full-time contract that will last until the end of the academic year.

Your new role
In your new role as a teaching assistant, you will be supporting the reception class teacher in all aspects of education. You will support your new students on a 1:1 and group basis, teaching them fine motor skills and aid in their transition to KS1. You will offer learn through play sessions as well as aiding in phonics, basic numeracy, literacy, and continuous provision and work under the instruction of the class teacher to deliver EYFS provision/curriculum. A number of your students will show traits of undiagnosed SEN so you will be required to effectively manage behaviours as well as identifying trigger points.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning as well as referenceable experience working with EYFS classes, as well as:

• The ability to take a lead in phonics
• An understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• Be able to commit to full-time school hours
