Level 2 Teaching Assistant required in Tameside
Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3pm
Start Date: 3rd June, 2024
Duration: Until the end of the academic year
Possibility for Extension: Potential for ongoing and permanent position for the right candidate
£95.16 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
A vibrant secondary school located in the heart of Tameside are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from 3rd June until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a 1-2-1 basis with a pupil who has additional learning difficulties. This role requires a compassionate individual with a kind and patient manner, who is reliable and committed to supporting the educational development and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-2-1 support to a pupil with additional learning difficulties
- Assist the pupil with their learning activities and ensure their needs are met
- Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement effective strategies for the pupil's progress
- Maintain accurate records of the pupil's progress and achievements
Requirements:
- Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Previous experience working with pupils with additional learning difficulties is desirable but not essential
- Kind, patient, and reliable with a passion for supporting students' educational development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
