Job Title: Full-Time Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work full-time within our school community. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the delivery of high-quality education and provide individualised assistance to students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons, adapting activities to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Support students with their learning, providing one-on-one assistance and small group interventions as required.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning and development of all students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
