Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: North Birmingham, B6, Aston

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

Start Date: April 2024

Salary: £85-£100 per day based on experience

LTF Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and caring Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Aston. If you are passionate about working with children with special educational needs and are eager to make a positive impact in their educational journey, get in touch today!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, ensuring they have access to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to create a nurturing and engaging classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students in their academic and social development.
  • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents as required.
  • Help maintain a safe and organised classroom setting.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant is advantageous.
  • A compassionate and patient nature, with a strong desire to support children with SEN.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and take direction from teaching staff.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for all students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are a plus.
