Are you a Lettings Negotiator looking for a new challenge? Our client an award winning, multi office independent Estate Agent with offices in Hertfordshire and Essex are looking for a Lettings Negotiator to work in their busy head-office in Bishops Stortford. The Agency are very well established and highly regarded for putting people first and are passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

They invest heavily in staff training and the latest technologies to ensure their staff have the skills and tools to provide clients with an unparalleled level of service. Their specialist media division uses industry-leading photographic and video equipment and this, combined with online media expertise, allows them to offer an unrivalled marketing package to ensure that clients' properties are noticed by the right audience. They pride themselves on the services they offer in Sales, Lettings, New Homes, Mortgages and Property Management.

The ideal candidate should have an understanding of the full lettings process and at least 6 months+ experience as a Lettings Negotiator. You must be very well spoken and presented, hard working and used to working to targets and deadlines. Local knowledge would be preferable but not essential.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and own your own car.

Salary package and benefits of the Lettings Negotiator role include:

  • Basic £16,000 - £20,000
  • OTE salary range - £23,000.000 to £26,000.00
  • Monday to Friday - 8:45am to 6:00pm
  • Available to work Saturdays 1 in every 4
  • Training and development

The day to day role of the Lettings Negotiator includes:

  • Communicate with prospective tenants and arranging property viewings
  • Conduct property viewings
  • Negotiating offers and agreeing new tenancies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Landlords and Tenants
  • Marketing properties using various marketing skills and strategies
  • Generating new business and retaining existing clients
  • Canvassing the local area
  • Ensuring new tenancies are fully compliant in line with legislation

Skills and experience needed for the Lettings Negotiator role include:

  • Ideally 6 months+ experience in Lettings
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of relevant local housing laws and regulations
  • Experience with property marketing and advertising
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology
