Legal Secretary - Edinburgh - £21,000 -£25,000 depending on experience

Expected Hours: Full time Position, approximately 37.5 hours per week

Does the idea of working in a dynamin and driven Legal firm in Edinburgh with a busy and varied role, and colleagues with a genuine passion for the job sound perfect to you?

We’re looking to have a chat with experienced Legal secretaries to discuss joining a successful Legal Firm in Edinburgh. Working across their secretarial pool to support their Fee earners.

Are you who were looking for?

  • Legal Secretarial experience required
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of dealing directly with clients
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Experience with systems BigHand and Worksite would be beneficial for this role.

What does the day to day look like?

  • Liaising with lawyers to identify their work commitments and prioritise work accordingly
  • Diary Management
  • Arranging meetings and appointments both internally and externally
  • Booking travel and meetings
  • Audio and copy typing for complex and confidential documents
  • Preparing organisational charts, mail merges, Excel spreadsheets
  • Handle client telephone enquiries
  • Participate in projects

Previousexperience within a similar role is essential. The successful candidate will be from a Legal Secretarial background. Employment experience preferred but not essential.

The main focus of this role is to bring in a candidate with the right team fit and attitude in to support Partners within their team.
