Please note - this is a fully remote role - there are physical offices that someone could attend but our client are ideally seeking to employ someone on a fully remote contract.

This is a truly exciting role for someone who has at least six years of experience of drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts relevant to a software business.

Our client are looking for a candidate who has six years of experience working for a software business or servicing clients in this space; if candidates have any exposure to oil and gas technology that would be hugely advantageous.

You will report directly to the General Counsel of the Group - please note this role is treated like a sole counsel position in terms of seniority, level of responsibility and autonomy. You will have a wide legal network and trusted peers to rely on but ultimately you will be working with minimal supervision.

The Legal Counsel will take the lead on most legal matters, including data privacy, data security, commercial contracts, corporate matters, litigation, intellectual property, compliance and managing outside counsel.

You will enjoy drafting legal documents, negotiating legal matters and advising business managers on strategy as well as risk.

Relevant candidates will need to have demonstrable experience in drafting, reviewing, revising and negotiating master agreements, supplier agreements, and client contracts.

This role is best suited to someone who has a working knowledge or interest in expanding their international legal knowledge in multiple jurisdictions including the US, Asia Pacific, China, South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
