We are excited to be working with an established and growing, Legal Firm based in Leicester. This company prides itself on the care, support and unparalleled services they offer to their clients. They hold true to their core values which has enabled them to maintain and grow their client base as well as their in house team. You will be joining their friendly and supportive team as a Legal Cashier. This position will get you involved with a wide range of tasks whilst upholding solicitors accounts rules.

This role comes with a day rate between 115 - 135 per day depending on experience

Duties Include:

  • Processing client account payments and receipts.
  • Supporting with Credit Control function.
  • Managing Accounts Payable.
  • Carrying out bank reconciliations.
  • Completing bank transfers and payments via online banking platforms.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of bills and posting in a timely manner.
  • Processing legal aid accounting for crime related legal matters.
  • Investigating and resolving queries.
  • Taking on any other ad hoc tasks required.

Is this the right role for you?

You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Legal Cashier or working in a Finance role within the Legal sector. You should be able to manage and prioritise your work and allocate your time effectively. You must be accurate, methodical and a logical thinker. You will need to have great communication skills and maintain a professional, courteous and polite manner. You should have a good understanding of legal accounting software. You should be able to adhere to the rules that govern the running of a legal practice at all times. A knowledge of Criminal Legal Aid billing would be advantageous.
