A Great Opportunity for a Legal Assistant - Residential Property to join a leading legal 500 law firm - Blackburn Office. As a Legal Assistant in the Residential Property team you will be working closely with property lawyers handling sales, purchases, transfers of equity and mortgages, this is a proactive role which involves moving property transactions forwards and being able to communicate confidently and professionally with all of the parties involved in a conveyancing transaction.

About the role

  • Liaising with and updating clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and lawyers in order to actively progress transactions
  • Dealing with exchanges and completions
  • Dealing with post completion matters
  • Deal with a range of administrative tasks
  • Be aware of and comply with client and estate agent service level agreements

About you

  • Highly desirable , law qualification such as LLB, GDL, LPC etc
  • You will be a committed team player with excellent communication and organisation skills
  • You adopt a detail-orientated approach to your work and have the ability to work under pressure
  • At least 12 months solid experience gained within a reputable property team as a legal assistant or legal secretary
  • You will have experience of working with a case management system
  • Good working knowledge of the conveyancing process
  • Knowledge of Land Registry requirements
