Salary: £37,099 - £41,732 per annum - AC2

Job Type: Fixed Term, up to 12 Months, Full-time

The Role:

Do you have experience teaching Hospitality Management in Higher Education (HE) or have a desire to teach Hospitality Management programmes?

University College Birmingham's Department of Hospitality and Tourism is a long-established provider of hospitality related programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Our diverse student alumni work internationally in the most prestigious hotel and restaurant venues in various management and strategic functions, shaping the future of the industry at an exciting time.

Our department has strong student recruitment, and we work with large international industry names to ensure our programmes are both relevant and innovative.

We are seeking a highly motivated lecturer to join our HE team. We are eager to learn about the skills and experience you possess and how they can enhance the planned curriculum delivery and how you can complement the academic teams delivering the programmes.

Our Lecturers deliver inspiring and inclusive Teaching and Learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed. Program areas for this post will include:

  • MSc International Hospitality Management
  • MSc Hospitality with Tourism Management
  • BA/FdA (Hons) International Hospitality and Tourism Management

You will work with Senior Lecturers, the Head of Department, and our Executive Dean to ensure our delivery can only be described as world class and we produce work-ready students that can springboard into high value careers.

We expect that the ideal candidates for this role can demonstrate a commitment to self-development through their CPD record and that they are keen to spend time back in industry to ensure currency and innovation is ongoing.
