We are seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Milton Keynes. This role is crucial in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with various special educational needs, ensuring their learning and social development.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
  • Support the classroom teacher with adapting materials and activities to meet students' needs.
  • Facilitate communication between students and their peers to foster inclusion.
  • Manage any behavioural or emotional issues with sensitivity and resilience.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your understanding of SEN strategies and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or a similar role in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Empathy and resilience, with a patient and motivating approach.
  • Commitment to professional growth and development in the field of special education.
  • A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs is advantageous but not mandatory.
