Learning Support Assistant

Location: Hammersmith - nearest station Shepherds Bush

Job type: Long-term, temporary

Start date: ASAP

End date: July 2024

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm

Pay: £85 - £100 per day

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant? Or perhaps a TA keen on an opportunity to work with children with special needs?

Tradewind are looking to appoint a charismatic Learning Support Assistant to support SEN pupils, mainly with Autism in an Ofsted rated "OUTSTANDING" primary school based in Hammersmith & Fulham.

  • Implement a dynamic curriculum encouraging pupils to explore interests beyond core subjects
  • Offer fantastic support to new staff, including SEN training
  • A school with high standards, evident in their Ofsted inspection in which they were judged to be "outstanding"!
  • Stand by a mission to guide pupils to flourish academically, socially, morally and physically

About the role:

  • Support a child with ASD in a reception class on a 1:1 basis
  • Follow pupil's EHCP
  • Support the pupil in making academic progress
  • Create an engaging learning environment suited to the pupil's needs

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Learning Support Assistant / Early Years Practitioner / Nursery Nurse
  • Knowledge and understanding of Autism
  • Confident supporting children with SEN
  • Available immediately on a full-time and long-term basis
