Role Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School located in the Brinnington area of Stockport. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a child who faces behaviour challenges. This is a full-time, long-term position offering competitive pay rates ranging from £85 to £90 per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individual Support: Provide one-to-one assistance to the designated child, supporting their academic progress and social development.
- Behavior Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Collaborative Planning: Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to the child's needs.
- Nurturing Environment: Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to help build the child's confidence and self-esteem.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of the child's progress, behaviour, and any interventions implemented.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with behaviour challenges is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
- A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
