Requirements:

  • Previous child-based experience.
  • Valid DBS on the update service.
  • Enthusiasm for working with students.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional educational needs within the school environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing individual and group support to students with learning difficulties, ensuring their inclusion and participation in classroom activities.
  2. Assisting the classroom teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
  3. Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans for students.
  4. Supporting students in accessing the curriculum and adapting teaching materials as required.
  5. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the teaching staff.
  6. Promoting positive behaviour and helping to maintain a safe and inclusive school environment.
  7. Building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
