Tradewind Recruitment is working with a fantastic Primary School located in Bedford, Beds who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to start as soon as possible for the rest of the academic year!

***LSA / SEN TA - ASAP start - £80 to £95 per day

***Well run Primary School located in Bedford, Bedfordshire

***Long term position that could become permanent

This well-respected community school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work with a pupil in Year 1 who has Autism. The child has English as a second language and struggles to understand the class teacher at every stage of the lesson and therefore the LSA must break down the work to help him learn. The student can be prone to poor behaviour, usually bought on by frustration of not understanding the lesson but he is not violent and quickly calms down given the right support. He has made excellent progress to date and the school is looking for someone who will help this continue.

The school is offering ongoing training and development with the role plus the opportunity to become a permanent staff member at the end of the academic

To join us and be successful in this role we require:

  • Experience working as a TA/SEN TA/LSA in a U.K Primary/Secondary School, or a CACHE Level 2 (minimum) qualification or a recent graduate with passion for education.
  • Have the academic ability and personality to inspire, engage and progress students from all backgrounds and of all ages.
  • Some understanding of SEN and the desire to work with Special Needs pupils.
  • Be available to work Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 3.30pm
