Learning Support Assistant

Celsian Education are seeking Primary Learning Support Assistants to work within a number of client primary schools in the Belper area of Derbyshire - for up to £1200 per month.
Whether you are seeking day to day work as a supply Learning Support Assistant on a part or full time basis, or a longer term support post (of six weeks plus) we would like to hear from you.

Primary schools requiring additional support include a small and happy infant school who strive to create an atmosphere of belonging, where all children and adults feel safe, valued and included. Children and staff here are happy, generous, and hardworking - showing a real passion for their school, and visitors comment on their positive attitude, and the genuine pride they have for their school.

Whether as a day to day Learning Support Assistant, or as a longer term member of staff, your contribution to schools like this is vital to the life of special learning environments, which opens the hearts and minds of everyone who has the pleasure to be involved with them.

We have a number of client primary schools in Belper and the surrounding areas, who are ready to welcome you into their family of staff, students, and parents, as a valued Learning Support Assistant, and are looking forward to meeting you. Experience of supporting children with a range of abilities across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 in a school environment is desirable, although applications will be considered from those who are looking to begin a career as a Learning Support Assistant - who can demonstrate recent relevant experience and transferable skills.

Successful applicants will:

Have the opportunity to work as a Learning Support Assistant on a day to day or longer term basis (as you prefer), with roles available which range from delivering one to one support to children with SEN, or providing whole class or small group support - as directed by the class teacher.
Experience of working with children with behavioural needs including ADHD and SEMH are desirable but not essential.
