Learning & Interventions Mentor!

About the Role: As a Learning & Interventions Mentor, you will play a vital role in transforming the lives of our students. While previous experience is not necessary, we are looking for individuals with a strong commitment to supporting young people and a willingness to immerse themselves in all aspects of school life. You will work alongside our dedicated team, providing classroom support, assisting with interventions, and fostering positive relationships with students.

You will receive comprehensive support and training from the school, gaining hands-on experience and developing your knowledge of the national curriculum. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to explore various career pathways, including Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech and Language Therapist (SALT), Therapy Specialist, Youth Worker, and Careers Advisor.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to students with barriers to learning, ensuring access to the curriculum and promoting independent and group work.
  • Supervise students during break and lunch times to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assist the Pastoral Team in managing behavior and implementing interventions across all year groups.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Good standard of literacy and adaptability.
  • Calm demeanor and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passion for supporting young people and transforming lives.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
