Learning Mentor required to work with children aged 11- 16 within an alternative provision setting. This role is ideal for a Learning Mentor who has experience working with challenging behaviour, EBD, and ADHD. You will be providing 1-2-1 and small group support in a classroom setting to students that require additional support.

This school setting caters for students that have been excluded from mainstream education, providing them with guidance and support. As a Learning Mentor, you will be responsible for engaging with students, managing behaviour and encouraging participation in lessons. With good facilities a dedicated, supportive team, this school is an excellent setting for its young people.

Job Role:
  • Supporting students who have faced barriers to learning
  • Working closely with teaching staff
  • Engaging with and motivating young people
  • Managing Behaviour
  • Acting as a positive role model

Ideally, you will:
  • Encourage and motivate students to participate in lessons
  • Have a positive approach
  • Have experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Be able to demonstrate de-escalation techniques
