Learning Development, and Talent Acquisition Officer
£24,000 - £27,500 per annum

Our client, a prominent accountancy practice in the South West region, is actively searching for a dynamic individual to join their team as the Learning Development and Talent Acquisition Officer. This exciting opportunity entails a fresh role within their expanding HR team, dedicated to enhancing the overall well-being of the entire team while bolstering recruitment efforts. It perfectly aligns with our client's steadfast commitment to fostering growth, nurturing talent, and prioritising well-being.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a deep passion for learning and development, exhibit a flexible and dynamic approach, and possess excellent time-management skills. The ideal candidate can choose their primary office location but should possess flexibility to travel across all offices due to a significant portion of the role involving in-person training sessions, this adaptability is essential.

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Learning Development and Talent Acquisition Officer will collaborate closely with other HR team members, they will play a pivotal role in advancing the training initiatives for both post-qualified and non-chargeable team members.

The responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive in-person and online training programs covering a spectrum from business acumen and time management to specialised soft skills and AI compliance.
  • Conduct orientation and recurring training sessions covering DEI, communication, sales, customer service, and more.
  • Provide comprehensive IT training encompassing Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Coordinate and conduct weekly "Training Tuesday" and "Wellbeing Wednesday" sessions.
  • Assist the Head of Human Resources in designing and delivering training programs, including the Annual Whole Firm Training Day.
  • Manage training administration, including course bookings for Qualified level and above.
  • Oversee the Firm's CPD process and organise verifiable training opportunities.
  • Conduct regular reviews of external training providers.
  • Provide weekly recruitment coverage and step in for the HR and Talent Acquisition Officer when absent.
  • Coordinate Mental Health First Aid initiatives.
  • Organise and promote Working from Home agreements.

The candidate:

  • Adaptable and conscientious, with a positive attitude, and friendly, approachable demeanour.
  • Resilient, resourceful, able to multi-task and work independently / flexibly.
  • CIPD Level 3 would be advantageous but is not a requirement.
  • Passionate about developing others, wellbeing and delivering exceptional service.
  • Enjoys learning new skills and theories, translating these into practice for self and others.
  • Access to own transport to be able to regularly work in all our offices.
  • Essential will be excellent verbal and written communication / coaching / training skills along with a strong level of knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams to develop and support our team members.
  • Ability to present information effectively, accurately, and concisely.
  • Recent experience in coaching or training individuals and groups both face to face and online.
  • IT, coaching or training qualification(s) would be beneficial, however not essential.

  • Ideally, 36.25 hours over 5 days a week, but open to considering part-time schedules.
