Our client, who specialises in high-end, bespoke landscaping projects through to large multi-phase landscape installations and smaller specialised projects are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join their Landscaping division.

Their links to some of the world’s major suppliers and specialist sub-contractors enforce their credentials and their passion to deliver an exceptional service.

The Role

• Analysis of the tender documentation to enable full understanding of the information required for a fully compliant tender submission
• Initial Client/Customer assessment prior to commencing the tendering process
• Site visits to evaluate the prevailing site conditions prior to the tender submission
• Preparation of commercial review of contract terms
• Preparation of risk/opportunities register
• Formulate and send out tender enquiries; collate tender enquiry returns; prepare tender submission; submit tender documentation within the specified tender return date
• Ensure there is a proper handover of successful tender documentation/information to the Operations team
• Maintain effective communication with Clients, Suppliers and Departmental Management
• To continue to seek ways to better the estimating process
• Other such responsible duties as instructed by the manager/director

The Candidate

• Previous landscaping estimating experience
• Good understanding of Value Engineering
• CSCS Card / NVQ level 2
• ONC/HNC (dependant on level)
• Good report writing skills - computer literate in Microsoft office applications (Word, Outlook, advanced Excel)
• Knowledge of computer Estimating programmes (Estimate, LiberRATE, Bluebeam etc)
