My client, an award-winning landscape architecture practice, is looking to recruit a talented landscape architect to join the team in North Yorkshire. This company provide a range of high quality design, planning and management services to projects including regenerations, masterplans, designs for developments and heritage landscapes. With a diverse client group made up of developers and national institutions, leading architects, private individuals and local authorities, this practice is able to work on a varied range of exciting and innovative projects.

Requirements

  • A degree and post-graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture
  • Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or on the pathway to chartership
  • At least 5 years' post-graduate experience working within the private sector
  • Experience working on projects of varying scales
  • A strong portfolio of work, demonstrating excellent design flair
  • An understanding of hard and soft landscape detailing and specification
  • Experience delivering projects within given budgets and time constraints
  • Excellent software skills, including the use of AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, strong 3D graphics and MS Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Full, clean driving licence

Responsibilities

Working as a Landscape Architect, you will:

  • Liaise with a wide and varied range of clients; ensuring excellent client relationships are maintained
  • Work on interesting and challenging projects, ensuring that you approach work with a proactive attitude
  • Work closely with the wider team, providing support and advice for more junior team members when required
  • Prepare and communicate drawings and designs
  • Present technical reports and documents to the highest possible standards
  • Support the day-to-day responsibilities of the team, which could include site surveys and assessment, masterplanning, landscape character assessments, public consultations and exhibitions and producing planning applications
  • Work within given time and budget constraints
  • Help to maintain the excellent reputation of the practice
