Our client, based in Hartlepool, is looking for someone to join their Laboratory team. The role will start off on a temporary basis for a number of months and may become permanent for the right candidate.

Purpose of the role:

  • To provide quality control support to the manufacturing departments.


Duties:

  • Maintain a high standard of safety and housekeeping in the laboratory
  • Perform analysis on products, according to defined analytical methods and standard operating procedures
  • Reviewing Packaging and Packed product meet customer requirements
  • Ensuring loads correctly labelled and ready for dispatch
  • Coordinating with Warehouse and Manufacturing
  • Preparation of samples for HPLC and GC analysis
  • Preparation samples to customers for dispatch as appropriate
  • Record and report analytical results to QC staff
  • Maintain levels of laboratory reagents and consumables
  • Arrange for correct disposal of laboratory waste

Essential Experience:
  • Computer literate (MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Good communication skills
  • Laboratory experience

Desired Experience:

  • University Degree within a Chemistry discipline
  • Experience in HPLC and GC systems is an advantage
