Laboratory Technician - Testing

Salary: £20,000 per annum DOE

We have a vacancy for a Laboratory Technician

Your main role would be to conduct various routine testing of footwear, luggage, clothing, accessories and automotive components. Other responsibilities will include stores maintenance, laboratory housekeeping and sample preparation.

Candidates must have GCSEs in Maths, English and Science at Grade C or above and be familiar with MS Word and Excel. The successful candidate will be expected to work to deadlines, to produce accurate, detailed results and also be able to work independently and as part of the laboratory team.

You must be computer literate and be able to demonstrate good organisation, time management and planning skills. Attention to detail is essential. Previous test laboratory experience would be an advantage, however full training will be given. Full driving licence is also desirable.

Flexibility, tenacity and a 'can-do attitude’ are key requisites of the role. Within the guidelines of the flexible working system, candidates should be able and willing to work their contracted hours between the hours of 7am and 7pm if required.
