Description of Duties
- Receive inbound shipments,
- File packing slips, invoices, certificates of analysis in orderly fashion
- Safely unpack and store products at appropriate temperatures
- Log samples into sample log sheet
- Prepare orders and samples for shipping, packing in line with internal SOPs and IATA guidelines
- Aliquot human plasma and serum materials
- Restock labs
- Use standard laboratory equipment, for example centrifuges, pipettes, autoclave, biosafety cabinet
- Use appropriate PPE and adhere to safety precautions when handling human source materials
- General Housekeeping duties
- Stock Maintenance/Records
- Label plasma and serum vials
- Maintain test data spreadsheet
- Keep lab and office in tidy condition
- Clean lab and office weekly and as needed
- Maintain equipment
- Record data in the maintenance/calibration spreadsheets
- Assist Lab Technicians with daily duties, preparing the labs for daily use
- Update records using Excel
- Complete Health & Safety and equipment checks, maintaining equipment log
- File test paperwork
- Return stock laboratory freezers as required
- Any other duties as requested by Line Manager
Previous laboratory experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
Knowledge of Microsoft Office essential
GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
Attention to detail is a must
