Recruiting for an SEN Teacher in KS2
This school is a 'good' school with many 'outstanding' features. They are ambitious for all the children and young people to achieve positive outcomes. They cater for children and young people aged 5 - 19 years of age with learning difficulties, communication difficulties and those on the Autistic Spectrum. Their aim is to engage all pupils in learning through outstanding and creative teaching, supporting all on their journey wherever that may be.
The behaviours within this class can be challenging and require strong behaviour management. This school caters for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and mild to severe emotional and behavioural difficulties therefore teachers that have experience working with individuals with Autism and SEBD are essential.
·Pupils working at P-levels and low national curriculum levels
·Pupils have moderate learning needs and Autism Spectrum Conditions
·Position for rest of the academic year - potentially permanent
The ideal teacher will:
·have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
·have experience working with young people with ASC
·have previous experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour
·have a passion for developing the social and emotional development of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.
·have a resilient character
·be available 5 days a week and able to start immediately
·have a DBS on the update service
