A country house hotel located in Cumbria is recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef role
A Junior Sous Chef position is now available at a country house hotel that has been awarded one AA Rosette in its fine dining restaurant. The hotel offers high quality dining using the finest seasonal produce sourced from local Lake District suppliers wherever possible. The restaurant offers modern British dining with the kitchen given full autonomy to create the menus with the hotel also operating an afternoon tea service and hosting exclusive use weddings. In this Junior Sous Chef position you will be joining a team of six chefs working in the kitchen, with the expectation that you are capable of running some of the quieter shifts and deputising for the Sous Chef in their absence.
The role requires a Senior Chef de Partie ready to take the next step in their career or a Junior Sous Chef seeking a new challenge. A background working in all fresh food kitchens with previous experience of cooking to one AA Rosette level is required but previous banqueting experience is also necessary.
