A great opportunity for a recent graduate to join a leading UK train operator as a Revenue Analyst

THE COMPANY

The business is one of the UK's leading rail operators servicing long-distance customers across the UK, providing over 32 million passenger journeys last year and amassing over £1 billion in revenue. With the business continuing to grow year on year, they are now looking to hire a Revenue Analyst in their Revenue Management team.

Joining the team as a Revenue Analyst, you will support the business with yield management and revenue management for the pricing of customer train journeys.

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Using data to price trains, making sure that trains are hitting capacity and that full trains are priced fairly for customers

  • Supporting the business with yield management and revenue management for pricing of customer train journeys

  • Look after own train region and taking responsibility for revenue costs for this area

  • Looking at attaining maximal revenue for the business, through setting of targets and varying of train costs

YOUR KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong numerical and data-focused mindset with good commercial acumen

  • Good academic background - STEM degree preferred

  • Good communication skills

  • Technical experience in Excel

  • Interest in rail/travel sector
