Junior Litigator Opportunity: Join Our Dynamic Team!

Job Purpose

Are you a skilled legal paralegal looking for an exciting challenge? Look no further! Our department specializes in pursuing subrogated recoveries on behalf of multiple insurer clients. We’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new role within our post-litigation team. As a Delegated (DA) Litigation Paralegal, you’ll play a crucial role in managing litigated cases where no defence has been received.

Compensation package:

Salary discussed & disclosed on application, hybrid working 1 day per week in office remainder remote working, Health Care Cash Plan, Holidays 25 days plus 8 bank holidays (opportunity to buy & sell 3 days) increasing to 26 after 5 years’ service and to 27 after 10 years’ service, Death In Service - after 1 year, Employer Pension Contribution, Cycle to Work Scheme, Tech Scheme, Season Ticket Loan*, Gym Flex

Key Accountabilities

1. Masterful Organization

  • Own Your Workflow: Prioritize and manage your workload like a pro, adhering to our standard operating procedures. Critical dates? You’ve got them covered.
  • KPIs and SLAs: Achieve and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs). Your precision matters.

2. Litigation Management Wizardry

  • Court Deadlines: Be the guardian of deadlines. Adhere to all court timelines with finesse.
  • Craft Court Documents: Your drafting skills shine as you create court documents that leave no room for ambiguity.
  • Seeking Judgment: When applicable, apply for judgment confidently.
  • Quantum Negotiation: Navigate the intricacies of quantum (damages) negotiation. You’re the voice of reason.
  • Prompt Payment: Ensure the defendant pays damages and costs promptly.
  • Enforcement Instructions: When necessary, instruct enforcement actions. You’re the catalyst for results.

3. Case Management Excellence

  • Data Accuracy: Our case management system is your canvas. Keep it accurate and up-to-date.
  • Critical Dates: Never miss a beat. Critical dates are your specialty.
  • Strategic Documentation: File notes are your secret weapon. Document actions and strategies meticulously.
  • Clear Labeling: Organize historical documents with clarity.
  • Client MI: Populate relevant client management information. Keep our case positions precise.

Working Hours and Location

  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm (with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Location: 2, The Parklands, Bolton, Hybrid role working only 1 day in the office.
