We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focusedJunior IS Support Engineer and to gain a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician apprenticeship qualification. The apprenticeship will run for 15 months.

What does the role involve?

As you learn on the job you will be responsible for effectively resolving user support requests in accordance with an agreed priority matrix and OLAs andto contribute to IT projects as required.

You will monitor, fix and support desktop hardware and Microsoft desktop applications software, resolving problems as they arise. You will use RemedyForce, a call management system to update and track support calls raised and see them through to resolution. You will be given support from your team as you go through your apprenticeship to learn the ropes with us becoming an effective IS Support Engineer.

What skills and experience can I bring to the role?

To take part in this apprenticeship you will need 3 GCSEs or equivalent at grades A-C and GCSEs in Maths and English grades D or above.

You will be an inquisitive and ambitious individual who is looking to develop a career with a global technology organisation in an IT support career.

You will be offered formal technical training from your colleagues as you progress through your apprenticeship to assist your learning and development,so we do not expect you to have formal qualifications or experience in this area already. However, you will have an aptitude for IT software and hardware and a personable and professional manner as you will have lots of contract with a variety of people across the business. Although you will need to have some working knowledge of Microsoft software, such as Outlook, Word and Excel; as the business use MS Office 365 application suite.

Any customer service experience you have will be advantageous. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to explain things in a clear manner which is easily understood by others.
