Applause IT are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer with a passion to get into the world of DevOps. You will be working for an established client of mine based in Bromsgrove but supporting hybrid working.

Working within an agile environment utilising Azure the individual will get the opportunity to work alongside existing DevOps Engineers supporting the Dev Team.

The successful Junior DevOps Engineer with have experience with the following:

• Skilled in utilising Azure DevOps to establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledgeable in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automating tasks, including configuring IIS.
• Proficient in configuring, securing, and optimizing IIS for web application hosting.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and associated tools.
• Experienced in version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Strong grasp of networking, security, and system administration fundamentals.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

This is an ideal position for a driven individual with some DevOps experience who is seeking an opportunity to gain wider technical exposure and progress their career. These opportunities are ideal for experienced DevOps Engineers who are keen to further learn and take ownership of a variety of projects. You will have a solid technical background in hosted-server environments and have a significant level of experience in a virtualised environment.
