About the Role
This position has become available due to growth and departmental re-structure. We are looking for a Junior Buyer with a purchasing background, who must be a keen, flexible person with experience within a purchasing environment. They’ll require the skills of being a good negotiator, whilst at the same time ensuring they build solid relationships with suppliers to ensure suppliers treat us with respect, as a valued customer of theirs, and deliver the services we’ve ordered. They’ll need to be able to manage their own workload whilst prioritising what is needed for the business. They’ll need good attention to detail and determination to see all tasks through to completion. Whilst having experience, they must be eager to learn within a dynamic, ever changing environment. The applicant will need to follow existing procedures and guidelines, but would also be expected to suggest new policies and procedures where they see improvements can be achieved. They’ll need to ensure they purchase everything as effective as possible, tracking savings against budgeted spend to show a reduction. They’ll be involved in creating and maintaining cost price books for suppliers for all types of services to ensure the Pre-sales team have the information they need when quoting a customer. They will be involved in supplier escalations and will need to be able to push a supplier down the path we need, but ensuring the supplier is happy to be lead that way, and ensuring we retain a good working relationship with the supplier.

Ideal Candidate
Manage your own Purchasing process whilst working to build collaborative relationships with suppliers which create value for both parties.
Liaising with other departments, operations managers, Vendors and suppliers on a daily basis.
Monitor products and report any issues to line manager
Prepare reports as requested
Liaise with operations managers as to the stock movement of slow moving lines
Ensure that all written communication represents a professional image to customers, clients and staff.
Comply with any reasonable instruction from your line manager within the agreed deadline.
Comply with all Company policies/procedures and site rules and regulations.
Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by management.

Salary Permanent salary ranging up to £26000
