School Minibus Driver - Peterlee Location

£13.85 per hour | 4 hours per day | Weekly pay
Monday-Friday (Term Time Only)

We are currently recruiting a reliable and safety-focused School Minibus Driver to support the daily transport of students in personalised education (Year 10 and 11). This role involves collecting the minibus each morning, transporting pupils between schools in the local area, and returning the vehicle to the starting school. You will pick up students from two separate schools in the area.

Key Details-

• Hours: 7:00am-9:00am and 2:00pm-4:00pm (Monday-Friday)
• Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour (paid weekly)
• Vehicle: 17-seater school minibus
• Location: Peterlee Location

Role Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 17-seater school minibus on designated routes.
• Complete a morning route including two additional school pick-ups.
• Perform an afternoon return journey following the same route.
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and appropriate supervision of students during transport.
• Carry out basic safety checks on the vehicle before each shift.
• Maintain a professional and friendly manner when interacting with staff and students.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS (in date or registered on the Update Service).
• Correct driving licence entitlement to operate a 17-seater minibus (D1 category required).
• Willingness to complete Safeguarding Training.
• Good communication skills, reliability, and a caring attitude towards young people.
• Experience working with children or in a school transport role is desirable but not essential.
