IT Support Engineer - Major gaming company - Linux, Python, Git, SQL

With an ever-growing team of software engineers and testers, my client is looking to on board an IT support engineer into their diverse and highly technical team. You will be providing service desk support, undertaking IT management/operations, general configuration and management of their platform. You will be working on the sports betting platform where you will build, test and deploy to ensure the smooth operation of their technical environment.

This position provides great opportunities to progress and develop your skills through getting hands on commercial experience with a range of the most up to date technologies!


  • Responding to inbound customer support requests
  • Logging support requests - using Jira
  • Prioritise support issues in order or urgency/complexity
  • Allocation tickets to the appropriate technical staff
  • Make patches and code deployments
  • Complete some development tasks using Python

Skills required:

  • Previous interaction with Linux platforms
  • Version control - Git
  • Experience with Python for programming
  • Database experience with Oracle SQL
  • Computer Science Degree

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with Javascript and CSS
  • Any interaction/knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes
