Why Brodies?

Brodies LLP is a UK law firm headquartered in Scotland. It is the largest firm in its jurisdiction measured by income, directory rankings, and lawyer numbers. In the last three years, the firm's revenue has grown by 20%, and almost 100 new colleagues have joined.

Brodies are looking to expand their helpdesk team in Glasgow by recruiting an IT Modern Apprentice! This apprentice will be working towards an SCQF Level 8 Diploma.

What’s involved?

  • Providing first line technical support and answering helpdesk calls in a timely fashion
  • PC troubleshooting via telephone and remote control of the users computer or at their desk
  • Supporting remote workers using Virtual Private Network (VPN), portal and web-based access
  • Assisting with setting up new colleagues on various systems
  • Installing software and applications updates
  • Setting up and supporting audio visual equipment in client-facing areas
  • System administration
  • Keeping technical systems and knowledge up to date
  • Assisting the IT Team with the implementation and support of new software and hardware

Salary:

£20,000 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 8.
