IT Support Analyst Based in Castle Donington, £51k per annum plus £5,000 shift allowance 42 hours a week (0600-1800-0600) (24x7 operation)
 
Where IT meets Warehouse distribution and automation.  This is a vital role where you will be ensuring the smooth running of the automated distribution centre for a very large well known retailer. 
 
Based on the clients established and well run site you will be working closely with customers and internal teams to address technical issues, optimising processes and maintaining high standards of performance. From incident management to change coordination, your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing stability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
 
So what will your day to day look like?
  • Identifying operational issues and driving improvements in system function and performance.
  • Leading troubleshooting procedures such as Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Assessing operational priorities and ensure uptime targets are met.
  • Investigating complaints and suggestions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Developing operational solutions and determining their impact on the logistics system
  • Anticipating operational issues and monitor technical availability and performance.
So, what's on our wish list of skills and experience ?
  • NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an IT discipline essential or 3-5 years’ experience in IT, or ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain management.
  • Technical Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, SQL Databases
In the nice to have section it would be great if you had some experience in software application support, logistics, high-volume manufacturing, or transportation environment and knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python, PL/SQL, C++), WMS, WCS, networking, and server infrastructure.
