We are looking for an IT Relationship Manager to work within the Relationship Management team. As IT Relationship Manager, you will be acting as a primary point of contact for 160 staff in our clients’ Manchester office. The Relationship Management function is part of the wider Central IT team and plays a key role in ensuring that IT within the business is aligned to business requirements. Role:

We are looking for an IT Relationship Manager to work within the Relationship Management team. As IT Relationship Manager, you will be acting as a primary point of contact for 160 staff in our clients’ Manchester office. The Relationship Management function is part of the wider Central IT team and plays a key role in ensuring that IT within the business is aligned to business requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • The role will be varied, with the primary responsibilities being to:
  • Provide triage for support issues raised in the office
  • Assist with determining priorities for staff issues and requests
  • Work closely with the Manchester Project Technology Manager, IT Helpdesk and Central IT Operations team to accelerate identification of issues and resolutions, improving customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with the IT Helpdesk and Central IT Operations team to provide deskside assistance for Manchester office staff
  • Proactively work to minimise issues by, for example, running regular checks on laptops to ensure they are always "travel ready"
  • Assist with staff inductions
  • Train staff on Microsoft Office and other, non-technical applications where appropriate
  • Play a hands-on, key role in implementing IT projects such as the upcoming Windows 10 deployment
  • Support the Senior IT Relationship Manager
  • There is also a requirement to assist with:
  • Preparing machines for use
  • Troubleshooting lack of client connectivity to the network
  • Troubleshooting failed hardware and replacing as necessary
  • Travel may be required on occasion to provide assistance to other offices.

The Candidate:

  • The Person Relationship building is key to this role, not only at a local level within the Manchester office but also within the wider Central IT team and with our external Helpdesk.
  • You will be enthusiastic and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing at all levels of the business.
  • It is essential that you work effectively in a team as well as independently and take a structured approach to your work.
  • Whilst this is not predominantly a hands-on technical role, you must have at least a year’s experience in IT support, ideally in a Microsoft environment and your troubleshooting capabilities will be well developed.
  • At least an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is desirable, in particular of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
