Overview:

Our Apprenticeship Operations Team position has been designed to help you rise to the challenge of delivering against an ever-changing customer landscape. Your adaptability, agility and creativity will help you build the skills and confidence you need to develop an IT career in a business that’s growing faster than you imagine.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to system-triggered alerts on supported customer and in-house systems
  • Diagnosing hardware failures
  • Restarting services and managing initial troubleshooting steps for incidents
  • Triaging automated alerts from customer systems and prioritizing them based on severity
  • Logging new incidents and alarms with appropriate priority levels
  • Ensuring timely responses and resolutions within contracted SLAs
  • Collaborating with team members to manage and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Providing exceptional customer service throughout the incident management process
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Operations Team

Salary:

£12,480 per annum

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

Future prospects:

At the end of the apprenticeship, we’ll offer you a guaranteed permanent role with a starting salary of £27,300, provided you complete your probationary period and qualification.

This vocational apprenticeship comprehensively supports your specific job role with this particular employer.  Throughout your learning journey, you are fully supported by your dedicated QA skills coach and your mentor at work.  They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.

Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
