IT Manager

Acorn by Synergie is working with an innovative and market leading company to find an experienced IT Manager to manage the company's infrastructure and support network. Our client is a world leader in providing global energy customers with maritime services for the gas transport and offshore wind industries. They are at the forefront of decarbonizing the maritime sector, deploying a range of technologies such as clean fuels, energy saving devices, electrification, and carbon capture systems.

The IT Manager is responsible for the IT infrastructure and support across the UK organisation. This includes configuring and maintaining the company's computers, servers, networks, enterprise software and security systems. Optimise internal IT infrastructure for greater productivity and help the company stay compliant with cybersecurity regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers.
• Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
• Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
• Creating user accounts and performing access control.
• Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimise computer systems.
• Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.
• Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
  
  

Technologies used:

• Extensive experience in Office365 at advanced admin level - this should include design, topology of Exchange, SharePoint and other elements of the Office365 ecosystem and is a mandatory requirement.
• Azure AD from design concepts to implementation and support.
• Identity Provider platforms such as OKTA, with associated knowledge of SAML, SSO, Domain Federation, and others.
• Windows Operating systems. This experience should be at both server and workstation levels.
• Networking - switches, routers (Cisco), Firewalls (Fortinet)
• Have extensive experience in leading projects at varied sizes.
• Have demonstrable experience in dealing with varying types of hardware (PC's, Laptops, Phones, Tablets, others).
• Have demonstrable troubleshooting skills ranging from PC's -> Servers -> Networks -> Firewalls.
