Helpdesk Network/Systems Engineer
Our client is a very well-established Electronics Engineering company, with a global footprint.
They have an exciting opening to work within their IT team. This is a permanent position, with an excellent salary, company benefits including Profit Share Scheme, Life Assurance, Healthcare benefits, half day Friday’s and 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.

Job Summary
40% Helpdesk IT Support, 60% Systems Engineer, Covering 2 UK sites and 1 Germany site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide helpdesk services, support IT queries, and manage service requests using Ivanti service desk.
  • Maintain and develop IT systems and network infrastructure for UK and Germany in alignment with Corporate IT.
  • Ensure IT security, coordinate with global IT Security team, and address potential threats.
  • Select, purchase, install, and maintain corporate-approved hardware.
  • Manage Microsoft and third-party software applications, including O365, with expertise in O365 admin portal and PowerShell.
  • Maintain Rubrik backup solution, ensuring compliance with corporate data backup requirements.
  • Ensure asset management and software licensing compliance.
  • Manage printers, peripherals, and consumables.
  • Provide remote and onsite support to Spellman facilities globally.
  • Manage Microsoft Teams telephone system integration with IT applications.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and Health and Safety management systems.
  • Manage VMWare server infrastructure and SAN.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory infrastructure for UK and Germany.
Knowledge & Ability
  • Microsoft Windows Enterprise technologies (Windows OS, Server, Office 365, SharePoint, SQL Server, CRM, Microsoft Teams).
  • Third-party systems (Glovia G2, Rubrik Backup, Citrix, Windows RDS, Ivanti management suite, DLP solutions).
  • Hardware solutions (SAN, Servers, Desktops, Laptops).
  • Experience in system analysis, development, and deployment; knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • Cisco or Aruba Switches and enterprise Wi-Fi experience.
  • VMWare administration, VCP preferred.
  • VOIP and Microsoft Teams Phone Systems experience.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS.
  • PMP or Project Management experience is a plus.
