Overview: 
We are seeking a motivated 1st Line Support Technician to join our team in south Sheffield. 
This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about starting a career in IT or looking to enhance their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment. 

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Being the first point of contact for our customers 
  • Ticketing 
  • Answering the phone 
  • Handling enquiries over the phone and in writing 
  • Typing up notes 

What we are looking for: 
Essential skills:

  • Strong work ethic and excellent organisational skills 
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively 
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional demeanour 
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with users and understand their technical issues 
  • A quick learner who is eager for professional and personal growth and development 

Desirable skills:

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems 
  • Ability to troubleshoot common desktop issues such as software installation and malfunction, network connectivity, and printing problems 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft cloud services, especially Azure Active Directory and Exchange 

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary: 
£13,650 per annum.

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.  
Flexible working hours available. 

Hybrid working arrangements are possible, based on performance.
