IT Category Manager

Your new company
You will be working in an organisation that has undergone significant change in the past 2 years across a number of divisions including procurement.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement, the Category Manager - IT role is a strategic role with primary responsibility for managing the IT Procurement category across the UK & Ireland. Working closely with key internal stakeholders, both Group and UK&I, the Category Manager will be expected to create and execute a category plan to maximise value. You will be working closely with stakeholders and suppliers across the UK&I and also on a global level.
What you'll need to succeed
For you to be successful in this role you will need to be a specialist in the ICT category and worked at a high level within this category. You will be working closely with the Group ICT function across UK&I and Globally. You will need to have a track record in global negotiations and have the ability to align the IT strategy to the current procurement objectives within the organisation. The organisation are looking for someone to become a business partner and really embody the cultural fit and target for the organisation going forward. You will need to have experience within Hardware/Software and SAAS, as well as previous work with Mergers and Acquisitions.
