IT Assistant Category Manager

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within this Portsmouth based client for an experienced and self motivated IT procurement professional. Working within a newly created role and reporting into the Assistant Director of Procurement, your role will be to lead on the category management strategy, sourcing strategy and SRM for all ICT spend. You will also work with internal IT stakeholders and business partners in order to understand current requirements as well as details of existing contracts that are in place.

This is a really fantastic opportunity for an IT procurement professional to take the next step within their career. in addition to IT procurement experience, you will also have a strong understanding of public sector procurement legislation and contract law as well as strong negotiation and influencing skills. CIPS qualification is desirable, but not essential.
