Job description

This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is passionate about IT support and service across all areas of IT delivery, and focused on delivering a great service. The role requires a strong communicator, with an analytical mind set who is motivated by translating user issues and requirements into action.

Responsibilities

Support Services / Incident Management

  • Provide 2nd line desktop support of hardware, software and network
  • Answer support queries face-to-face, using remote tools and telephone
  • Respond to user queries concerning data, functionality and system performance ensuring issues are resolved or escalated to ensure an effective resolution
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
  • Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues
  • Update and maintain records on the helpdesk system
  • Take responsibility for providing excellent customer service
  • Monitor and escalate calls in accordance with service levels
  • Help with IT issues such as email and printers not working properly, faulty laptops, missing files etc.

Qualities/ essential requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied and changing workload
  • Excellent customer skills and telephone manner
  • You will be friendly and approachable
  • You will have the ability to cope with multiple problems in a calm and professional manner
  • Willingness to learn and work towards professional industry certifications
  • Looking to gain experience and a long term career in the IT industry

Desired Qualification

• 5 National grade’s at A-C level including English and Maths

Other Important Information

Daily working days/ hours - Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 12noon
