Cast UK are supporting a prestigious client based in Tamworth, with the recruitment process of an IT 2nd Line Support Technician

As an IT 2nd Line Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in the IT operations team, providing technical support and troubleshooting to the operation. Working closely with the internal teams, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd line technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote assistance.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to 3rd line support or other relevant teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement and maintain IT solutions.
  • Document support processes, procedures, and resolutions accurately.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar 2nd line support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office applications.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365 administration.
  • Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Renumeration:

£35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits
