Job Title: IPTV / Satellite / TV Engineer

Location: Bridgend (Field Based covering all of South Wales)

Salary: £30,000 - 34,000 per annum

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 9 am to 5.30 pm

About the Role:

We seek a skilled and dedicated IPTV Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IPTV systems and WiFi in Hotel environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background, in IPTV installation as well as a passion for surpassing customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan and review system architecture, end-to-end deployment and maintenance of IPTV network
  • Installation and configuration of IPTV headend equipment including Luminato
  • Manage download of XML Metadata for IPTV EPG platforms
  • Configure and Manage channels for IPTV streams in hospitality TV
  • Installation and configuration of Philips CMD server
  • Installation of network switches to distribute IPTV in Hotels
  • Installation of Wi-Fi access points and Cloud services
  • Installation of Hospitality TVs
  • Installations of network and structured cabling (Cat5e/6/6A & Fibre)
  • Reporting on progress and issues affecting the work to line managers and client contacts
  • Working safely at all times following Health & Safety policies
  • Diagnose and rectify faults successfully
  • Interacting with clients, ensuring the installation is done smoothly and with as little disruption as possible

Job Experience Required:

  • General understanding of Networks, LAN/ WAN, VLAN, Firewalls, Virtual Private Networks and operating systems.
  • Proven experience in IPTV installation and maintenance, preferably in commercial and hospitality settings.
  • Knowledge of digital media streaming protocols and digital entertainment applications will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of broadcasting coding and transport DVB-T2, DVB-S2, DVB-C.
  • Have flexibility around working hours, including night work and overtime
  • Willing and able to work within different locations over the UK staying away when needed
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure, paying good attention to detail at all times
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and self-manage workload without supervision
  • Full UK Driving license
