IP Voice Support Specialist

A client of mine who are providers of internet telephony are looking for a IP Voice Support Specialist to take the lead in diagnosing and resolving IP Voice queries. This is a fast paced role, you need to be agile and able to multi-task yet ensure accuracy at all time. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be highly efficient, solutions orientated and able to work in isolation yet be a confident team player.

Summary of role:

*Diagnose and resolve issues with customer's hosted telephones/SIP trunks systems, including faults with configuration, handsets, broadband, routers, call quality, call routing etc.
*Troubleshooting problems for first time resolution of issues.
*Liaise directly with channel partners and end customers during new provides
*Provide customer training on site and remotely
*Act as a consultant to customers to get the most out of their online portal and system features
*Provide first and second line support via email and phone to channel partners and end customers
*Place orders from channel partners and end customers
*Processing of all service orders which include: Connectivity, Hosted Voice, Number Porting
*Respond and Resolve Provisioning related queries both Internal and External
*Create knowledge base articles for new issues and solutions discovered
*Liaise with suppliers to escalate issues

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

*At least 2 years’ experience working within the telecoms industry
*Experience and knowledge of Broadsoft and Asterisk platforms
*Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
*Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
*A positive and determined approach dealing with Internal and External customers
*Ability to cope with high volume of transactions and to prioritise tasks
*Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone
*Analytical
*Excellent time management skills
*A positive attitude to dealing with people
*Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual
*Ability to multi-task
*Ownership of problems and task from start to completion
*Must have a willingness to learn new skills in order to support the full range of services
*Excellent communication skills
*Must be able to plan work and schedule tasks, activities and manage them accordingly
