About the Role:

As a supplier of world-leading products and services to customers around the world, we need to make sure that we comply with all international trade regulations, as well as being prepared for future regulation changes. The International Trade Compliance (ITC) and Information Management lead is a new post that is responsible for ensuring that we have a robust set of policies, processes and procedures in place, with appropriately trained people. Working closely with the Head of Commercial, the Supply Chain Manager and the IT Manager, this role is key to managing our ITC compliance risk. The information management lead aspect of the role is to set the policy requirements that ensure we manage our customers’ information in an appropriate way. You will need to develop relationships across all business functions to ensure a coherent approach.

International Trade Compliance (ITC) and Information Management Lead Primary Responsibilities:

• Own the ITC policies, processes and procedures in our Business Management System
• Be the escalation point for all ITC matters
• Define the information management requirements that will comply with our varied customer regulations, including being the Security Controller for our UK Ministry of Defence ListX facility
• Design and implement an ongoing training program on ITC awareness for IrvinGQ personnel that will promote a culture of ITC compliance
• Manage a robust compliance program for all IrvinGQ locations (UK sites in Bridgend and Letchworth and a site in Toulouse, France) including completion of audits
• Engaging with our parent company’s International Trade Compliance team to ensure we are compliant with their requirements, provide routine reporting to them, and that import/export best practice is shared across IrvinGQ, including routine reporting
• Report to the company directors on issues and opportunities
• Drive a continuous improvement culture for ITC and information management
• International Trade Compliance (ITC) and Information Management Lead Requirements:

Essential Qualifications and skills:

• An inclusive, collaborative leader who inspires others to high performance
• Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, up to company director level or equivalent
• Adaptable and biased to action, solution focused and know how to get the best from the team
• Prior experience in controls, governance, risk, and assurance, particularly regarding UK, EU and US Trade Compliance
• Experience of conducting audits
• Encourage and promote continuous improvement of tools and processes
• Able to remain objective, acting with integrity and honesty at all times
• Able to hold a UK security clearance
• Advantageous skills and experience
• Experience of ListX information management requirements or equivalent systems for other countries
• Analytical approach to problem solving
• Professional qualifications and/or certification in Trade Compliance
• Experience of mentoring and training others
• An innovation mindset, happy to challenge the existing order

Other Considerations

UK National and able to hold a UK SC security clearance.

UK driving license

Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and overseas, particularly the US and France, although travel to other countries may also be required.
