Yes, this role is doing exactly that. Piece of cake? Well, it's trickier than you might think - but a WHOLE LOT OF FUN TOO!
You'll need to look high and low for those consultants that are thinking about a move to pastures new. So a lot of nurturing will come in to play planting seeds with consultants who may be on the fence, not yet ready to move, but might be happy to talk in a few months time. You will need to be a master relationship builder, with an engaging presence, as well as someone that can figure out pretty darn fast where to spend your time and with whom as like the rest of us you'll have targets to meet and a headcount to fill.
This is a role that would suit someone that has experience in a niche sector which is candidate driven. There are plenty of jobs to choose from as a consultant, so being used to what it takes to engage with candidates that are in high demand would be a great asset and set you up for success.
This role is a little different from the norm as you will only have one client, and that's who you will always be recruiting for. It will be an easy sell as hey you work there right? and you'll have an intimate understanding of the business benefits, perks and culture.
